Fife Heritage Railway

Originally part of the Leven Railway, which began operations in the 19th century, the Fife Heritage Railway was formed in the early 2000s by volunteers dedicated to restoring and maintaining historical rolling stock.

The Fife Heritage Railway offers a "Driver for a Fiver" experience, allowing visitors to try their hand at driving a locomotive. This event is located at Kirkland Yard, near Leven. The Fife Heritage Railway and has a unique collection of restored steam and diesel locomotives,  train rides are on selected days.

The railway not only provides nostalgic train rides for visitors but also engages the community with events, educational programs, and displays of railway artefacts. Today, it serves as an attraction for families, railway enthusiasts, and anyone interested in the rich history of Scottish railways, offering a glimpse into the past while fostering appreciation for this vital mode of transportation's heritage.
