A small historic fishing port that dates back to the 16th century and has traditionally been a hub for fishing and maritime
activities.
The French Harbour is first seen in the first episode of Season 2 when Jamie and Claire arrive. Upon their arrival, they meet the shows newly introduced villain Comte St. Germain. Dysart harbour itself was, in part, literally carved out of the coal that outcropped here, the surrounding area also features historical sites
and offers scenic views of the Firth of Forth.
