1. Acceptance of Terms
- By booking a tour with beyondstandrews, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions, please read them carefully before making a reservation
2. Booking and Payment Terms
- Reservations can be made on this website, by email and phone, or in person
- Our minimum tour duration is 5 hours, for which a deposit of 50% is required to confirm the booking,
- 24 hours prior to your tour date the remaining balance on the minimum 5 hour tour, is typically charged to the payment method you used to book the tour,
- The final payment will be based on the tour time beyond 5 hours which is charged in 15 minute increments.
- For a cancelled tour due to a successful Old Course ballot, you will not be charged the balance of payment of the tour, (T&C’s - 3.1)
- Tour prices shown on the website are per tour, not per person, and are for the first 5 hour chargeable tour. Tour times that extend beyond the estimated duration are paid on the day
2.1 Ticketing
- Entry tickets are not included for your tour stops, tickets may be pre purchased by us prior to your tour date, we recommend pre purchasing for at busy or popular times, Bank Holidays etc, to avoid or limit queues.
- Distillery tours have time slots for you to choose from, once your time slot is chosen, tickets are pre purchased to guarantee that time.
- Please check, that if you want the longer more detailed Distillery tour, that it is available on your chosen date.
- Distilleries have there own separate cancellation policies, we recommend that you read them prior to booking, links can be found on the “Whisky Galore” tour page
- Tickets or Guides, paid by yourself, are not our responsibility, you will have to contact the ticket providers for a cancellation, credits and refunds, we will though endeavour to assist when we can.
- Please note, we can not pre purchase any tickets on your behalf, for those groups entering the Old Course Ballot
3. Cancellation & refunds
- For cancellations made 90 days or longer from your actual tour date, the deposit will be refunded, less the cost of any pre-purchased entry tickets that might have been bought, and a 10% admin fee to cover transactions cost & card handling charges.
- For cancellations made more than 4 weeks (28 days) but less than 90 days from the actual tour date, will be refunded deposits only if we are able sell your date, less the cost of any pre purchased entry tickets.
- For all cancellations less than 4 week (28 days), deposits are non refundable.
3.1 Cancellation (Due to a successful Old Course ballot)
- If the criteria below, is met, the remaining balance for your tour will not be requested from you.
- The full names (first name & surname) of the golfers intending to enter the ballot, must appear appear with your booking
- The tour booking must have been made 30 days or more before you actual tour date, however your entry into the Ballot must be confirmed and appear in a message or email, before the the ballot closing date and time.
- The names that appear in your booking must be an exact match of the successful names (first name & surname) that are published in the Old Course Ballot for same day, as that of your tour booking .
- You are responsible for informing us of any success in the ballot, on the same day as the ballot results are known, failure to do so will invalidate tour claim for any refund
4. Changes to Bookings, itinerary
- The minimum chargeable tour duration is 5 hours.
- Primary stops are logistically difficult to change or cancel, and may incur an extra cost if tickets are pre purchased.
- Changes to your booking itinerary (optional stops) can be altered by your party in advance
- Additional optional stops will increase the duration and additional fees will apply.
- beyondstandrews reserves the right to make changes to the itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances, which maybe be similar but not restricted to such things as venue closure, access restrictions , driver/mechanical or vehicle issues, possibly with little notice or no notice.
- We have the right to cancel the tour if it is not practical, safe, or vehicle has been rendered unusable, in this instance we will refund the total tour cost that you have paid.
- There is no charge for you if you add a passenger, and no refund if you remove one.
5. Travel Insurance
- We recommend all passengers to purchase a travel insurance to cover for potential cancellations, trip interruptions, or other unforeseen incidents
- We are not responsible for any items left on the vehicle, please don’t ask the driver to take care of your property whilst you’re away.
- Most of our tour stops and attractions are operated by third parties and therefore we are not liable for any closures, losses or damages that are to do with the third parties.
6. Passenger Responsibilities
- There must be at least one responsible adult in the group
- All travellers must adhere to local laws and regulations during the tour
- Alcohol is not allowed to be consumed on any vehicle, “Sporting Events Act 1985”
- It is compulsory in Scotland that people to wear a seatbelt at all times - in all seats of a vehicle whilst it is in motion.
- Vehicles to be entered and exited whenever possible on the pavement side.
- beyondstandrews is not liable for any personal items lost or stolen during the tour.
7. Health and Safety & Conduct of passengers
- The driver will give you a briefing and a demonstration of key safety points that you should be aware of.
- the driver is responsible for the safety of the vehicle and all it’s passengers, and any passengers who’s conduct put this at risk maybe asked to vacate the vehicle.
- Apart from an emergency or if directed to do so by the driver, only the driver will operate the opening and closing of the side doors of the vehicle.
- The vehicle has a comprehensive first aid kit
- Wherever possible depart and step aboard the vehicle from the pavement side
- Read all the warning signage at each destination for such things as steps, slopes, railings, height restrictions
- Many of the destination are several hundred years old, when health and safety was not afforded much consideration, please read all the warning signage for such things as steps, slopes, railings and drops.
- Passengers must follow all health and safety guidelines & applicable regulations provided by either beyondstandrews. or any of our stops or locations, we reserve the right to refuse service to any passenger who does not comply with these guidelines.
8. Liability
- We are not responsible at beyondstandrews for any injuries, losses, or damages incurred during the tour that are beyond our control.
- We cannot be held responsible if due to an injury or incident, likewise any illness, we need to shorten, alter or end the tour.
- We have a duty of care, and if asked we will, divert to a Hospital, Medical Centre or similar for the wellbeing of the any of our passengers or the tour driver.
- By participating in the tour, passengers agree to indemnify beyondstandrews against any claims or damages.
- Force Majeure, neither party shall be liable for any failure to perform its obligations under these Terms and Conditions if such failure results from circumstances beyond reasonable control, including, but not limited to, acts of God, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, or shortages of transportation facilities.
- Passengers are liable for any damages they cause in the vehicle
9. Pick up and drop off
- We will pick you up at the main door of the address and accommodation provider you gave us.
- We can drop you off at your accommodation establishment on your return should you wish
- Passengers should be ready at their accommodation in good time for the scheduled departure time, itineraries can be tight, pre booked time slots are not easily or cannot be rescheduled, beyondstandrews have no responsibility for delay in departure caused by the customer or any third party.
10. Website
- Information regarding our tours, destinations and stops that are posted on this website are either provided by beyondstandrews or is publicly available, is to the best of our knowledge reasonably accurate.
- Descriptions & Images of our vehicles can change at any time due to circumstances that might prevail.
- All timings are approximate, there are too many variables to allow us to be more accurate.
- Destinations themselves evolve and change, often for the better, however when that’s not the case, or access to certain areas is denied for essential work, or similar we can not be held responsible.
- Intellectual Property Rights, beyond St Andrews are the owner of all intellectual property rights on this website and the material published on it.
- We are not responsible for any information, images or content obtained that you might access from other websites linked to beyondstandrews.com.
- Any material that a visitor to this Website sends or posts to beyondstandrews.com shall be considered non-proprietary and non-confidential, and we are entitled to copy, disclose, distribute or use for such other purpose as we deem appropriate
11 Privacy Policy
- Your personal information is held and treated as confidential and will only be used for the purpose of processing your booking and improving our services. We do not share your information with third parties without your consent.
12. Governing Law
- These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland.
